The Messianic Way

Blessing God

Blessing God

Matt 7: 21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, only those who do what my Father in heaven wants. 22 On that Day, many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord! Didn’t we prophesy in your name? Didn’t we expel demons in your name? Didn’t we perform many miracles in your name?’ 23 Then I will tell them to their faces, ‘I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness!’

David and I , (and by that I mean DAVID and not so much me because he is helping me to see), are coming closer to understanding the full impact of what it means to be “In Messiah Yeshua” and Keeping His commandments.  Religion for the most part is a long history of moving father from God and replacing faith with rituals, creeds, sacraments and such, ways to demonstrate our being worthy of His salvation.  When the truth is, we are NOT worthy of His salvation, Never will be.  It is a free gift, if you work for it, then it is wages and not a gift. Our salvation is not wages, not earned, not even merited. What we do in response to that gift, our gratitude, our worship and our way of Blessing God, which is thanking Him, is to quit fighting Him, stop being brats and bickering children  and  begin living up to  our calling. Accept the filling of His Holy Spirit so that we can have the truth of the Torah written on our hearts and begin to live by the direction, motivation, inspiration of God’s Spirit in us. Then He will know us and the works that we do are His works and not vain exercise of our own self will and self- glorification!
