In Christian Churches all over Americas, Canada and Europe life goes on as usual with some observing the Christian Sabbath of Sunday others watching the football game. Many of these Christians are comfortable in the assurance that the Great Tribulation described in the Bible by the prophets, the Apostles and Jesus will never actually touch their lives. They have heard the wonderful news that before any really bad things start happening that they will be snatched away in a miraculous event called the Pre-Tribulation Rapture of the church. They believe that due to their being saved through faith in Jesus and because they believe in this Rapture event that they have become a very select and special people dear to God identified as the Bride of Christ. They have been told that after they are whisked away into the clouds in heaven they will celebrate for seven years while the Great Tribulation plays out upon the Earth. Their minds are filled with praise for the Lord and joy over their good fortune of the coming reward, the crown of highest honor in heaven, being the bride of Christ. Until that day when Jesus comes for them like “a thief in the night”, they can fill their days in the pleasures of life holding their heads always above the clouds. How totally awesome and wonderful that the “true believers” will never be troubled by the time of great troubles. They stand now on the corner with their bags packed waiting for the arrival of the “Rapture Bus” to take them to the Wedding Feast of the Lamb.
There is another sect of Christian who do not believe in this Pre-tribulation Rapture. They don’t have the luxury of believing in it because, for them, the great tribulation has already begun and they are in the midst of it and see it getting more terrible by the day. They live in a world that is very quickly becoming Muslim or Islamic and under the control and oppression of anti-Christian government policies. For them the cost of faith in Messiah is much greater than finding ways to pass the time until the Rapture takes them away.
They are discriminated against and denied jobs or the right to work. They are harassed when they meet for church, spat upon rocks and sometime bullets flying their direction. Their Church houses have been burned with all their bibles and sometimes its member locked inside to die horrible deaths. In Somalia, Indonesia and other places they live in fear that any noise in the night is death coming to their doors as raiding Muslims attack them in their sleep and hack them to pieces with machetes , men women and small children. In some places their dead bodies are thrown into the village water wells to foul the only source of fresh water. There are reports also of young Christian girls being kidnapped and pressed into service as sex slaves even from the age of 6 and 7 years old. Many more are held in prisons and the bottom line is that perhaps over 100 thousand Christians are killed each year in Asia and Africa for their faith in Jesus Christ.
It’s hard for these brothers and sisters to fully embrace the multi-million dollar enterprise of the “Left Behind” franchise of books and movies. It never crosses their minds to watch the TV ministries who are begging or pandering for fortunes to build their own mansions. They never thought about holding a Church carnival or opening a bingo parlor. Where they live, it is a crime to convert away from the Muslim religion and carries a death sentence for doing so. Openly gathering just to pray together can land you in prison or worse killed where you are and never is a Muslim charged with a crime. It is not illegal to kill Christians because they are not Muslims after all. No, it is really hard to believe in a Pre-Tribulation Rapture when for all you can tell you are already living in the midst of the tribulation.
How arrogant and elitist and self indulgent are the Western Christians. Where is the outrage? Where is the call of support. Instead of hawking more books about the latest Jewish Holiday being the coming Rapture of the Church, how about organizing ways to financially and morally support those of our brothers and sisters who are already living in tribulations. According to the Pretrib Doctrine as held by most, these persecuted believers and almost 2 billion more who will be left behind after this rapture, will not even be part of Gods plan, and will be tortured and killed while the specially chosen pretrib-Christians celebrate in Heaven watching all the bloody action from their comfy pillows before the throne. And when it’s all over and the Lord returns to Earth, those who survive will become breeding stock to repopulate the Earth and not even take part in the Glorified body or Resurrection, because after all, that all took place before the 7 year tribulation and anyone who is anybody in the Lord will be at the Marriage Feast eating the finest food and drinking Holy wine. We can watch all the tribulation ACTION from up there, while basking in God’s Holy Light!!
Excuse me for a moment……. I will be right back,,,,, after I vomit!
Does this mean that the Great Tribulation has already begun? No not at all. It is going to get a lot worse. The Great Tribulation does not actually begin until the Antichrist, the false Messiah takes up his position and claims to be god. Then all the rest of the believers will begin to experience what the brothers in Asia and Africa have been enduring for many years.
WAKE UP YOU SLEEPING CHURCH! Open your Eyes! There is no Rapture and Resurrection BEFORE the tribulation. All the signs that precede the tribulation are already upon us. Israel became a nation again and the false Christs and the spread of evil, the apostasy is raging all around us like a fire in the dry forest. WAKE UP!
Rev 6: And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.
Rev 7: After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
This event marks the end of the Tribulation and the time of the Rapture of the Church and the Resurrection of the righteous dead. You can see that these two following verses are in total agreement. What follows is Gods wrath upon the Kingdom of Antichrist. The Wrath of God begins after the righteous are taken away after the Tribulation.
Rev 6: And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
MT 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

There are 2.2 billion Christians around the world. The Christian non-governmental organization Open Doors calculates that 100 million of them are being threatened or persecuted. They aren’t allowed to build churches, buy Bibles or obtain jobs. That’s the more harmless form of discrimination and it affects the majority of these 100 million Christians. The more brutal version sees them blackmailed, robbed, expelled, abducted or even murdered. . . .
Open Doors compiles a global “persecution index.” North Korea, where tens of thousands of Christians are serving time in work camps, has topped the list for many years. North Korea is followed, though, by Iran, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, the Maldives and Afghanistan. Of the first 10 countries on the list, eight are Islamic, and almost all have Islam as their state religion.
The systematic persecution of Christians in the 20th century — by Communists in the Soviet Union and China, but also by Nazis — claimed far more lives than anything that has happened so far in the 21st century. Now, however, it is not only totalitarian regimes persecuting Christians, but also residents of Islamic states, fanatical fundamentalists, and religious sects — and often simply supposedly pious citizens.
In Iraq, for example, Sunni terrorist groups prey specifically on people of other religions. The last Iraqi census in 1987 showed 1.4 million Christians living in the country. At the start of the American invasion in 2003, it was 550,000, and at present it is just under 400,000. Experts speak of a “creeping genocide.”. . .
Converts in Grave Danger
In even graver danger than traditional Christians, however, are Muslims who have converted to Christianity. Apostasy, or the renunciation of Islam, is punishable by death according to Islamic law — and the death penalty still applies in Iran, Yemen, Afghanistan, Somalia, Mauritania, Pakistan, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.. . .
