Deliverance

Deliverance. prayerlady
We got a call from some close friends in the church. The ladies step sister was in need of ministry. She had been diagnosed as Manic Depressive and had become very unstable and violent. She had been institutionalized on several occasions. Nothing seemed to help. On this occasion she had surprised her husband by pulling a gun on him and threatened to kill him the children and herself. He got the Gun away from her and she had been placed in a hospital for observation. I was not going to be able to go to Grand Rapids and stay for the time that might be required to speak with her, so Kathy and our friend went to Grand Rapids and got the women out of the care facility she was in and brought her to our home. The husband remained in Grand Rapids with the kids, but moved to a new temporary location to protect the children for any possible aggression from the woman. When they arrived the woman looked wild in the eyes, was unkempt and had not bathed for some time.

Over the next few days we prayed with her, ministered to her, told her about Yeshua and how he would like to help her. At times it seemed like we were getting through to her and she would weep and be agreeable, but then suddenly she would completely change and become excited and violent and her eyes filled with violence and hatred. What we thought were break-throughs were only swings of her Manic depressive state. More than once I had to wrestle her to the ground and sit on her to keep her from hurting herself or someone else. We remained in contact with her husband so that he knew what her status was. On the second day he told us that he had decided that he could not take the craziness any longer and had decided to divorce her and take the kids.

The way we minister to people is to ask the Lord to show us what the problem is and to deal with those one at a time, as they are revealed through, revelation, confession, or repentance or healing. We can’t see where the problems are, but God knows exactly what is wrong, and through gifts of knowledge he gives us the answers we need. On the 4th day, we finally got just the key that we were looking for, and it was something completely separate from what we had expected or imagined. We addressed this situation and when we did the woman went into a total rage. It was the only time I had faced total Demonic control over a person. Even to this day my skin get goose fleshed when I recall the event. But now that the spirit was identified we were able to exercise the Masters will and release her from this nasty thing. The change could be seen in her eyes right away.

It was 10:30 in the evening when this final piece was reveled and the deliverance took place. The next thing we did was to intercede for the Husband and children. We prayed that the marriage would be healed and the children protected.

A few days later we called her husband and asked him to come down and pick up his wife. He told us that two nights earlier that he had the kids in the car and was driving them out of state to hide them from his wife, when suddenly at 10:30 in the evening he was overcome with a sense of warmth and protection. He could no longer drive because of what he was feeling was so overwhelming. So he pulled to the side of the road, and got out of the car. The feeling of God’s presence totally enveloped him. He told us that right then and there he got on his knees and asked forgiveness from the mistakes in his life and with tears running down his face he accepted Yeshua as his Savior. It was at the very same moment that we had prayed for him more than a hundred miles away.

When he arrived to get his wife the next day, he told me that she had not looked so beautiful since the ay they were married. She was clean, her hair fixed, the wildness of her eyes was gone, replaced with Holy Joy. The Lord delivered her, and healed the relationship between her and her mother, that was at the heart of this demons control over her, healed the marriage, and they both began to attend a good fellowship and live for the Lord. Her mother came down to us and also was ministered to and spiritual and emotional healing was given to her.

He is still our deliverer and our healer.

Although this testimony is from a number of years back. The Lord continues to deliver us and we witness that often. Sometimes it is physical sickness sometime emotional, sometimes just total instability. Only the Lord can show us how to help someone.

RO 8: [26] Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. [27] And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
