The Messianic Way

Who’s house are you living in?

Are we living in a house made of stone built and maintained by human hands?  Or a house not made by human hands, that is maintained by the Spirit?  Will Yeshua return us to living in a house made of stone, after he has made us to live in a house made by the Spirit?  Does the Spiritual union in our hearts with God, our new covenant home, lead us to a physical union in our flesh with God, under the old covenant rules?

Luke 13:34 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! 35 Look, your house is left to you desolate. I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’ ”

John 4:21 Jesus declared, “Believe me, woman, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.

How can anyone live in a house that has been made desolate?  And, would it not be calling Yeshua a liar to claim you are living it that house?  As if it was livable?  How can anyone worship the Father in Truth and Spirit in a house he made desolate?

It’s not about keeping ‘some’ of the rules, you can’t keep ANY! Because they all involved ‘living in the Land‘. All of the ceremonial rules to the house they claim to live in were given in accordance to attaining and living in the Land where God himself resided. Why does the Torah observant Chrisian overlook so easily the ‘when you enter the Land in which I am giving you‘…. that is attached to EVERY ceremonial Torah command? Even the ‘you shall have one law for you and for the sojourner’….IN THE LAND.  In fact, the Torah was given to Yisrael to separate (Kadosh) her from the nations of the world.  Torah separates, or makes holy, Yisrael to God.  It was given to Yisrael, for her to be set apart from the nations.  Given this, it would be a logical conclusion to state that the nations were not given Torah to observe.  As that would negate the very purpose of the Torah given Yisrael at Mt Sinai.

Yisrael was set apart from the nations in order to bring forth Yeshua to the world.  And praise God this has happened!!

But, to claim the Spirit leads us to observe the Torah outside of the land, is to do exactly what Rabbinical Judaism did in creating their own paradigm of theology in regards to how to deal with observing Torah without Temple and Land.  This is one reason why adherents to that theology find commonalities with orthodox Judaism.

Yet, Yeshua explains very well why we don’t have the promised land, and who we are while we are not in it.

Is the presence of God still residing in the Land? Or is the presence of God now indwelt in his people?  And is not his house a spiritual dwelling place? Do the righteous live by faith, or by observance to Torah commands to a house left desolate?

Jeremiah 3

14 “Return, you faithless children”-[this is] the Lord’s declaration-“for I am your master,  and I will take you, one from a city and two from a family, and will bring you to Zion.  15 I will give you shepherds who are loyal to me, and they will shepherd you with knowledge and skill.  16 When you multiply and increase in the land, in those days” -the Lord’s declaration-“no one will say any longer: The ark of the Lord’s covenant.  It will never come to mind, and no one will remember or miss it.  It will never again be made.  17 At that time Jerusalem will be called, The Lord’s Throne, and all the nations will be gathered to it, to the name of the Lord in Jerusalem.  They will cease to follow the stubbornness of their evil hearts.  18 In those days the house of  Judah will join with the house of Israel, and they will come together from the land of the north to the land I have given your ancestors to inherit”

Jeremiah 23

7″Therefore, behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when they shall no longer say, ‘As the LORD lives who brought up the people of Israel out of the land of Egypt, 8 But ‘As the LORD lives who brought up and led the offspring of the house of Israel out of the north country and out of all the  countries where he had driven them.’  Then they shall dwell in their own land.”

Notice the prophet said that in those days by the Lords command no one will be even thinking about the ark of the Lord’s covenant, they won’t remember it, nor miss it. And it will never again be made!! But his ‘law’s are still able to be walked out…hmmm Laws that do not deal with the ark of the covenant?

Jeremiah says we will no longer remember our deliverance out of Egypt but out of the world. And we will no longer remember the ark of the covenant when we are returned by the King…..things to think about, no?

Ezekiel 37:27 ESV

My dwelling place shall be with them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Ephesians 2:22 ESV

In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.

1 Corinthians 6

19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God?  You are not your own, 20 for you were bought with a price.  So glorify God in your body.

Revelation 21:3 ESV

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man.  He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.

John 17:18 ESV

As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. 19 And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth. 20 “I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, 21 that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, 23 I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me. 24 Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world. 25 O righteous Father, even though the world does not know you, I know you, and these know that you have sent me. 26 I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.”

The words Yeshua spoke were Torah from God.  God gave Yeshua those who were His, and all listened and followed.  Yeshua asked that those who believed in His Words through the ones he sent would also be included with them.  That we all may be one, He in us and us in Him.  The glory that God gave Yeshua in love from before the foundations of the world.

Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit of God.  Glorify God in your body.  This is the dwelling place of the Most High God!!

Brother the desert is treating you well as you seem to have found a spring of living water that is flowing up and out of you! Praise God! Your word flows over me, refreshing and life giving.

    Thank you sir!

Sorta like fasting huh? Not a drop of water in site, no food, no community, yet out of nowhere, from no action you took yourself, you find the ‘food’ God is giving you. Water you would have never found had you not left the comfort of your dwelling place.

John 4:30 They went out of the town and were coming to him. 31 Meanwhile the disciples were urging him, saying, “Rabbi, eat.” 32 But he said to them, “I have food to eat that you do not know about.” 33 So the disciples said to one another, “Has anyone brought him something to eat?” 34 Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work.

John 6:27 Do not labor for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For on him God the Father has set his seal.” 28 Then they said to him, “What must we do, to be doing the works of God?” 29 Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”
